Why AI Will Never Be Used by the Lewis for Mayor Campaign

In today’s political climate, technology plays a growing role in shaping campaigns. Artificial intelligence is being used by some candidates to draft speeches, generate content, and even respond to voters. That is not the path of the Lewis for Mayor Campaign.

I want to be absolutely clear: AI is not—and will never be—used to create, shape, or influence my campaign content. Every word you read here, every statement issued, and every press release published reflects my own convictions, my own discipline, and my commitment to the people of Daytona Beach.

Why This Matters

  • Authenticity: Voters deserve to hear directly from the candidate—not from a machine.

  • Accountability: As a candidate, I am responsible for my words and actions. Outsourcing that responsibility to AI undermines trust.

  • Integrity: Campaigns should be built on truth, transparency, and human judgment—not algorithms.

My Promise

The Lewis for Mayor Campaign is about local solutions, citizen-first leadership, and disciplined governance. That means every message comes from me, Dr. Kerry B. Lewis, and is rooted in the values I stand for: law and order, fiscal restraint, property rights, and community empowerment.

AI may have its place in business or research, but it has no place in my campaign. Daytona Beach deserves leadership that is real, accountable, and personal.
