Rumors vs. Facts: Setting the Record Straight

Campaign Documentation Requirements

False: Dr. Kerry B. Lewis is hiding personal or professional documents.

Fact: Under Florida campaign laws, I am not mandated to publish or post any personal or professional documents online. Candidates are required to file specific disclosures with the appropriate election authorities—not to upload private records to public websites. Any claim suggesting otherwise is misinformation. My campaign follows all legal requirements fully and transparently.

 

Project 2025 and National Agendas

False: Kerry Lewis supports Project 2025 or national political platforms.

Fact: My campaign is about Daytona Beach—not Washington, D.C. I am focused on practical, local solutions that strengthen neighborhoods, protect property rights, and ensure fiscal discipline. Daytona Beach residents deserve leadership centered on their daily lives, not distractions from national movements. I will not endorse or align with national platforms that pull attention away from the needs of our citizens.

 

Misogyny and Women in the Workforce

False: Kerry Lewis believes women belong only in the home.

Fact: I reject misogyny outright. Women are essential to our community, economy, and leadership. Equal opportunity must be based on merit, skill, and dedication. Daytona Beach thrives when women are empowered to lead, innovate, and succeed. Their voices and talents are indispensable to our city’s future.

 

Faith-Based Legislation

False: Kerry Lewis will impose religious doctrine through city government.

Fact: As an ordained pastor, faith is central to my personal life. But as mayor, my duty is to uphold the Constitution and serve all citizens equally. My policies will be rooted in law, fairness, and accountability—not religion. I respect the diverse beliefs of our residents and will ensure that city government remains inclusive, impartial, and protective of everyone’s rights.

Fact: This site was built by me, Dr. Kerry B. Lewis. I take pride in ensuring that my campaign materials are authentic, transparent, and directly connected to the people I serve. No outside consultants or firms are behind this platform—it is my own work, reflecting my commitment to honesty and independence.

 

Presidential Narrative

False: Dr. Kerry B. Lewis is running for President in 2028.

Fact: While my name may appear in certain listings, I am not running for President. My focus is entirely on Daytona Beach. I am committed to disciplined infrastructure, strong neighborhoods, and preparing our city for the future. National politics is not my mission—Daytona Beach is.

 

Residency

False: Dr. Lewis has not lived in Daytona Beach his entire life.

Fact: I have lived in Daytona Beach since the age of 8. This city is my home, my community, and the place where I have built my life. My roots here run deep, and my commitment to Daytona Beach is lifelong.

 

Mayor’s Race Timeline

False: Dr. Lewis is not running for Mayor in 2026.

Fact: The Mayor’s race officially begins in 2027. I am preparing early to build disciplined infrastructure, connect with citizens, and ensure a strong, transparent campaign. Early preparation is about respecting the process and giving residents time to engage meaningfully—not rushing.

 

Campaign Funding

False: Dr. Lewis is not raising funds.

Fact: My campaign has a Super PAC. Fundraising is essential to building the infrastructure needed to reach voters, share our vision, and maintain transparency. Every dollar raised supports efforts to strengthen Daytona Beach and empower its citizens with information and opportunity.
