💡 How We Budget Without Raising Taxes

  • Public–Private Partnerships (PPP): Retailers, restaurants, and developers who benefit directly from Main Street’s revitalization will share in the costs. Their investment ensures storefronts thrive while taxpayers are shielded from unnecessary expense.

  • Revenue from Parking & Retail: Multi-level parking decks and public parking areas generate sustainable revenue streams. These funds can be reinvested into street maintenance, lighting, and landscaping—without touching the general tax base.

  • Targeted Grants & Infrastructure Funds: State and federal urban renewal grants, combined with transportation infrastructure programs, provide external funding. This allows us to leverage outside dollars rather than local taxes.

  • Efficiency in Design: The blueprint’s clean, modular layout reduces long-term maintenance costs. Palm trees, LED streetlights, and durable walkways are chosen for longevity, lowering future expenditures.

  • Community Advisory Oversight: Citizens and business leaders will serve on a Main Street Advisory Board to ensure transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline in every dollar spent.
